    Dr. -Ing. Sebastian Feldmann

Dr. -Ing. Sebastian Feldmann obtained his doctorate degree at the Chair of Mechatronics, at the faculty of engineering sciences, of the University of Duisburg-Essen. He supports the development of various driving simulators in many kinds of correlated research projects in the field of automotive. Furthermore he invented several pioneering robot prototypes: The medical assistance robot FAROMIR (www.faromir.de) and in cooperation with the IGUS GmbH, the humanoid robot prototype HUMECH (www.humech.de). In the beginning of 2015, he won the Adesso Solutions Award with his concept for barrier-free smart connection of machines and sensor systems by a cloud-based infrastructure. Out of his work as scientist he founded the company NectOne through a successfully incorporated EXIST start-up grant. The today's core business of NecOne concerns mechatronic product development (sensor technology, actuation, control technology, robotics), the interdisciplinary connection of complex machines and systems as part of the industry 4.0 and the development of smart connected applications and driver assistance systems for automotive customers. Dr. Feldmann additionally is member of the board of the Kaliber-cultural association in Kamp-Lintfort and lecturer for the department of Communication Systems at the Hochschule Rhein-Waal.
